I was in Chepstow in the very early morning as part of an itv film crew. Once we had finished our broadcast the next task was all about finding breakfast. A lot of the cafes were closed at that time 8.45am..then we found the Beaufort hotel. Tucked away in the high street it proved to be one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. As a breakfast program crew member I do a lot of breakfasting..and feel somewhat justified in recommending this place. There were great seats in the window..a nice clean place. Super friendly staff, the type of people who were ‘there but not in your face. Service was so quick..coffees on the table within 5 minutes..and that included a fresh grind..and then breakfast a minute later. It was quiet I’ll admit, it being early doors and all..but credit where credits due..a beautifully turned out plate of poached eggs and lovely smoked bacon..and the price..!!! Three of us ate well for less than the cost of one breakfast I’d had last week in Marlow.. It’s worth getting up for just to go and sit in the bar for a fresh cup of coffee never mind the really good food.
Good on you Beaufort..I’ll be back.. Thanks.
